This play-a-month book is a collection of 21 plays designed to complement themes and celebrations ordinarily commemorated in the elementary classroom. Because the plays are clearly linked to days and dates featured in the months of the school year, it\’s tempting to just stick to this suggestion, for example doing the October plays in October and the March plays in March. But each play actually encompasses many different themes and can be enjoyed whenever the time is right for you and your students. For example, the October play \’The Ugly Pumpkin” may be used to compliment a science lesson on plant growth or a focus on diversity as easily as it would round out a Halloween celebration.
