Mistaken Identity
A middle-aged lady had a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital.
While on the operating table, she ha a near-death experience. Seeing a brilliant white light with a glowing figure at its center, she asked, “Are you God?”
“Yes,” said the figure.
“God,” she said, “is my time up?”
“No,” God told her. “You have another 40 years, two months and eight days to live.”
Overjoyed, the lady returned to her physical being. When she recovered form her heart attack, she decided to make the most of the time she had left to live. So she stayed in the hospital and got a facelift, full-body liposuction and a tummy tuck. She even had someone come in to restyle her hair and change its color from brunette to blonde.
Bt the time she was released from the hospital, she looked sleek and slim and years younger.
While crossing the street on her way home, she was run over and killed by an ambulance.
Arriving quickly back at the white light and seeing God again, she demanded, “Why didn’t you pull me out of the path of that ambulance? You said I had another 40 years to live!”
God shrugged and said, “Sorry. I didn’t recognize you.”
